vintage tv

can anyone remember getting up and down to change the tv channel? there were fewer channels then so i guess it wasnt a big issue. can anyone also recall that tv in the 60s/70s has legs and sliding accordian doors?

this brings me to one of my very, very, very… did i say very?… rare finds.

are you ready for this?

this toshiba may be one of the oldest surviving vintage tv circa 1960s/70s! and has sexy slim pencil legs to die for!!

sure, one of her legs is shaky and a teeny-small part of its wood has chipped, but it’s a perfect imperfection for her age. i like it original, but agree that a mini restoration will do wonders for her. for those who like what you see here, yes, it’s for sale!

what to do with it? secret bar? puppet theatre?? build an aquarium, or retrofit an LCD panel into it? etc, etc. i’d love to hear your ideas in the comments.

oh btw, we have a few spots left for our inaugural mini afternoon tea party.

come join us dressed in any one of your vintage stuff, drink tea from a vintage cup.  if tea is not your cuppa, sip orange cordial from a vintage footed glass. sit on our vintage stools/chairs while savouring one of our old fashioned home baked cakes. check out our other treasures!

who knows, you may even take one or two of the treasures home, if the price is right …for you, of course! (*.^)

cheers,

karen
